Starting at the ripe age of five, Philip received most of his musical training in the New York area during his school years with the late Polish immigrant and concert pianist Adam Kapuscinski. While his formal training is classical, he played for many years in different bands - top 40 bands, show bands, wedding bands, even a duo. Since moving to Portland, Oregon in 1985, Philip has played solo recitals, weddings, holiday parties and other functions.
